Chiefs vs. Cowboys: Score, results, highlights from Week 9 game in Dallas

News that Ezekiel Elliot would be able to play in Sunday’s Chiefs-Cowboys game at AT&T Stadium wasn’t an ideal development for Kansas City. The Cowboys running back’s NFL-imposed suspension was delayed at least one more week, meaning the Chiefs, who on defense entered Week 9 allowing 4.9 yards per rush (29th in the NFL) would have to deal with the league’s No. 3 rusher.

“I mean I’m going to go with my guy. I’m going to go with Peyton [Manning] but I mean Tom Brady is the GOAT.”

Brady is just 6-6 against the Broncos in the regular season, including a 3-4 mark in Denver, and 1-3 in the postseason, so maybe that’s why Brady called Miller “a nightmare” on Wednesday. It’s a mutual sign of respect for Miller.

“Brady is playing until 40 [and] it looks like he can play until 45,” Miller said. “Some other guys they can’t make it that many years. It’s all different. That all falls into the equation of Tom Brady being the GOAT.”

“I know he was in here (Tuesday),” McCarthy said before Wednesday’s practice. “There’s a number of opinions things he’s working through. He met with our medical staff, so we’re still going through the process.”

Bennett is getting different input from doctors on how to proceed with the injury after missing Monday’s loss to the Lions. The veteran had hinted on his Instagram Story on Oct. 28 that he is leaning toward retiring at the end of the season after a 10-year career that included stints with the Cowboys, Giants, Bears and Patriots before landing in Green Bay.

“After conversations with my family I’m pretty sure these next 8 games will be the conclusion of my NFL career,” Bennett wrote. “To everyone who has poured themselves and time into my life and career. These next games are for you. Thank you.”
